Solar array

Rising energy prices are focusing attention on resource limits. Farmland is being given over to solar arrays while governments are deciding about risking more nuclear power.

Great to see long-standing and new members, and to hear Andrew Mitchell MP, at the Annual General Meeting and Conference last month. Attendance and satisfaction were at record highs.

We have lots of promotional items available, including our excellent Christmas cards.

Our Chair Roger Martin recommends The World We Made by patron Jonathon Porritt as a Christmas present.

Governments adopted the first-ever resolution on child, early and forced marriage at a recent UN Human Rights Council meeting.

The UK population will reach 70 million by 2027, according to the latest projections.

Two papers have been published about the link between population and other issues — one by Monica Das Gupta and the other by Douglas Crawford-Brown.
