The level of population is one of the key issues affecting the future of humanity. Your support will help us to get population high up on the agenda and keep it there.
Your contributions enable us to carry out our research, education, campaigning, lobbying activities and events by paying for our expert associates, staff salaries, office expenses and publicity materials. We also need help with specific projects.

Donate by text
To donate to Population Matters by SMS, text POPM07 and an amount to 70070. You will receive a text acknowledgement. We can’t claim gift aid on this, but it is a convenient option for smaller amounts.
Easyfundraising
We are now registered with Easyfundraising. Any online shopping you do via the site will not cost you any more, and Population Matters will get a percentage of what you spend.
eBbay
We are now registered with eBay, meaning that you can donate some or all of what you receive to Population Matters.
Get sponsored
Sponsored activity is an easy and enjoyable way to raise money. You can set up your personal online sponsorship page at JustGiving. Fundraising pages are tried, tested and completely secure. It’s a great way to raise money from friends and family, and gives you the opportunity to tell them about Population Matters.

Friends and relatives can commemorate the past and contribute to the future through a memorial page for a loved one at Justgiving.
Payroll giving
If your employer offers a payroll giving scheme, please consider donating in this way. It reduces our administration costs and ensures that we automatically receive the tax you have paid on the value of your donation.
Share giving
12 million people in the UK own shares, with a combined value of £200 billion. If only a tiny fraction of these were donated to charity, imagine what a difference it could make. Donating your shares to Population Matter is not only a great way to support our campaign, but it could also be a shrewd financial decision. It’s one of the most tax-effective ways you can give, as you won’t have to pay any capital gains tax on the shares you donate and you can claim income tax relief too.
Making a donation of shares is very simple, but the process depends on the type of shares that you hold. If you wish to donate shares worth over £100, please contact us and we will talk you through the process. If you have shares worth less than £100 you would like to donate, please contact the charity ShareGift, which specialises in small holdings of shares. Please remember to mention Population Matters when making your donation.
